Not to be confused with the present day NAHL, a junior hockey league in the United States, the North American Hockey League that existed for four years from 1973-74 to 1976-77 was a low-level minor league that acted as a farm league to the WHA.
Why dedicate a website to a short-lived obscure minor hockey league that ceased to exist over 30 years ago? Because digging deeper in to anything 'short-lived and obscure' almost always ends up interesting. Beside, the league that inspired the cult movie 'Slap Shot' has got to have a story to tell.
Ex-Buffalo Norsemen Tony Mancuso will be speaking at the SIHR meeting in Worcester MA on March 28. The event is free and open to all. http://www.eventbrite.com/e/society-for-international-hockey-research-new-england-chapter-tickets-16112350474?aff=es2
